We always like to try and tell a story with our cakes, and this one says so much…

Loves travels across oceans. George from Thessaloniki, Greece, left home to come to the states for school. Little did he know that he would soon meet the love of his life, Teri! She wanted to surprise George with a groom’s cake to depict all his favorites of home, as well as the story of meeting his bride to be! We did our best to include every important detail from the White Tower in George’s hometown, favorite football (soccer) team, love of sailing – to coming to North Carolina, attending North Carolina State University, meeting Teri at Bogart’s, and of course falling in love!

Best wishes Teri & George on their recent marriage! We look forward to the stories to come!

Bob was happily surprised by his family with a full day of plans for his 65th birthday! And we were thrilled to be asked to be a part of his very special day. Being an avid collector of rare US coins & World War I model planes his special cake had to represent his favorite past times. This cake was inspired by Bob’s favorite plane – the P-51 Mustang, we also included the “Pennies from Heaven” – sugar replicas of the many coins in Bob’s collection!

As you might remember, a few months ago we asked by Erin & Isaac to create them a special cake to tell them what their new bundle of joy would be. Well, if you guessed a little baby boy, you were correct! We were thrilled to receive another request for a cake to help them celebrate their recent baby shower. After talking with a friend of the happy couple, and brainstorming different ideas, we were shown an image of the cute bedding (By Restoration Hardware Baby & Child) purchased to be in the new nursery. And of course after seeing it we KNEW the cake just had to match!

We recently had the joy of helping Mommy Amber and her family celebrate the coming arrival of a sweet little girl with an extra special cake. This cake was inspired from the nursy’s new quilted bedding. The guests of the shower were also able to take home their very own matching owl cake pop party favor!

Happy Birthday to a Rising Artist

Miss Olivia Jane recently turned 7 and, this up-and-coming artist was very particular about how she wanted her cake designed. When we met with the birthday girl, we were provided with an exact drawing along with specific instructions concerning the cake’s details and color. Following her instructions, we did our best to make sure this cake was extra special for her!

The party goers also were given fun & creative favors to take home – “Paint Pallet Cake Balls!” Each cake ball was created to give the look of paint in an artist’s paint pallet. After the children have enjoyed their tasty treats, the pallets & brushes can then be reused for even more colorful fun!

Little Evan & Addison celebrated their 3rd birthday in a big way – with Clifford the Big Red Dog! The twins partied & played the afternoon away with their friends & family at Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh, NC!

Speak Out For Our Freedoms!

There are currently 2 bills about to go before congress known as PIPA (Protect IP Act) and SOPA (Senate and the Stop Online Piracy)

The names of these bills are misleading and complicated. I think we can all agree that stealing is wrong, and online piracy is bad. These bills, however, will not stop any of those things from happening, what it will do is effectively shutdown thousands (if not millions) of websites we love, including Facebook, Twitter, & other social networking sites.

If these bills pass, it will have a far-reaching negative impact on everyone in the in the world, not just in the USA.

The Senate will begin voting on January 24th. Please let them know how you feel. Sign the petition urging Congress to vote NO on PIPA and SOPA before it is too late.
